Sansei are third generation Japanese Americans. The kanji means "pride" and the plum blossoms, that bloom while there is still snow on the ground, represent hope and overcoming hardship. We designed this shirt for Sansei Japanese Americans to express the pride their heritage their Nisei parents weren't able to.
